JIM PARTRIDGE
Jim Partridge makes furniture and functional woodwork that ranges from the small and domestic to monumental outdoor pieces. Much of his work is carved from blocks of green oak, often scorched and polished to a lustrous black finish, which can be seen in many public collections, including the V&A in London and Manchester Art Gallery. Other projects and commissions have included furniture, site specific installation and architectural features for both private and public clients. The work has twice been shortlisted for the Jerwood Furniture prize. jplw.co.uk
